12 oz. can of evaporated milk
pinch of garlic powder
dash of salt
1 Tbsp of cornstarch
2 Tbsp of taco sauce
1.25 lbs of lean ground beef
1 Tbsp of taco seasoning
5 oz. of fat free cheddar
Directions:
Cook the pasta according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.
Cook ground beef, mix in taco seasoning and a dash of water. Mix until taco seasoning is well combined with the meat.
Pour meat mixture into cooked pasta bowl.
In a saucepan, mix together, evaporated milk (set aside 1/4 cup), garlic powder, and salt. Stir until well combined.
Bring the milk mixture to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and remaining ¼ cup evaporated milk. Then pour the cornstarch mixture into the sauce.
Whisk constantly while the sauce simmers and thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
Take the sauce off the heat. Gradually whisk in the taco sauce and cheddar cheese. Stir until melted and smooth.
